MVEC podcasts cover a range of topics with world-leading vaccine experts.
In this week’s episode of COVID19 Road to a vaccine, our host, Associate Professor Nigel Crawford speaks to Professor Robert Booy about special risk groups when it comes to SARS-CoV-2, in particular, those living and working in aged care facilities.
In next week’s episode, Nigel will be speaking to Professor Paul Young and Professor Trent Munro, who are co-leaders of the University of Queensland COVID-19 vaccine trial. The University of Queensland and CEPI (the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation) have partnered with CSL to advance this trial. The vaccine utilises molecular clamp technology and has recently progressed to phase one clinical trials.
The year 2020 has seen the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID19), a unique and potentially devastating virus, with no known prevention or treatment.
