At this stage, no cases have been reported in humans, but there may be a risk of transmission in regions near the border of Victoria and New South Wales.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">More than 90 per cent of JEV infections are asymptomatic, transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito.
