We are excited to announce that registrations are now open for our upcoming Immunisation Skills Workshop!

The March 2025 Immunisation Skills Workshop is a half-day, interactive event, designed to educate and upskill accredited immunisation providers. The workshop is focused in the areas of:

  • promoting vaccine confidence
  • how to have difficult conversations.

Time: 8:00 am – 1:30 pm AEDT
Location: Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), 50 Flemington Road, Parkville
Registration fee: From $105 ($125 for non-members)

Victorian Department of Health: Increase in Q fever cases

On 5 February 2025, the Victorian Department of Health issued an alert regarding an increase in cases of Q fever. 

Q fever is caused by infection with a zoontoic bacteria transmitted from animals to humans, and can result in acute or chronic disease. People at the highest risk of exposure to Q fever are those in close contact with animals and animal products. 

The Health Department’s alert notes a significant increase of Q fever cases in 2024 compared to previous years.

CVU mini webinar on RSV: Recording available for limited time!

To celebrate the launch of the Education Portal, a recording of Wednesday’s CVU mini webinar on RSV preventative therapies is available to all Education Portal users until COB Thursday 13 February 2024. Simply log in or create a profile to start watching.

Following this, the recording will be designated as a ‘past event recording’ which is only accessible to Education Portal members.
